ACTING COACH / WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR – Instructor September 2016 to Present

• Taught theatre workshops to high school age students with the Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity’s Allyship in Action Forum and the GSA Forum (2016), as well as the Compass Centre for Self-Directed Learning (2017) and the Ottawa School of Theatre at the Shenkman Arts Centre (2019)
• Taught workshops on documentary theatre making for high school students in Fort McMurray (2018)
• Taught weekly online classes for the Ottawa Children’s Theatre (2020)

UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA – Part-time Professor September 2016 to December 2016

• Taught a new class titled Administration of Artistic and Cultural Organizations: Promoting the Arts in Social Media, which focused on local Ottawa arts festivals
• In addition to weekly quizzes, students had two main assignments: to research and write about an existing Ottawa festival, and to create and design an imagined festival that could take place in Ottawa – creativity was highly encouraged
• Researched festivals and marketing tactics, created PowerPoint presentations for each class, marked all quizzes and assignments, and provided guidance and feedback when needed

UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA – Teaching Assistant September 2008 to August 2010

• Taught classes on theatre makers from across Canada and initiated discussion with students 
• Worked with professors to prepare course outline and discuss workload throughout the term 
• Completed administrative tasks (including preparing multimedia presentations) as required 
• Marked essays, short-answer tests, and final projects, and provided tutorials
